Robert Pattinson, who plays vampire Edward Cullen in The Twilight Saga: New Moon, will appear on Live with Regis and Kelly November 19 to promote the film, according to a post today to the show’s official Twitter feed.
Pattinson stars with Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner in the highly anticipated film based on the book by Stephenie Meyer. Ms. Stewart will be on the show November 18, and Mr. Lautner will also appear on the morning television show November 20.
The film opens November 20, 2009.
Mr. Pattinson’s popularity with both fans and filmmakers skyrocketed after his first portrayal of the brooding vampire in Twilight, which opened a year ago. He has previously appeared in other films based on books such as Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, and in the DVD version of Vanity Fair. Lesser known roles based on books adapted to movies for television include The Bad Mother’s Handbook and The Haunted Airman. The latter film has just released in the U.S. on DVD.
